FAQ's Made Easy
We understand that choosing care comes with many questions — and a lot of emotions. One of the biggest is often: “Will my loved one be safe and cared for?” That’s exactly why we created this page. We’ve already done the heavy lifting for you, and the answers you need are right here.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is senior placement?
Senior placement is a free service that helps families find the right living option for their loved one. At West Valley Senior Placement, we connect families with licensed residential care homes — small, safe homes in local neighborhoods that provide 24/7 care and compassion.
2. Who do we help?
We help families looking for safe, comfortable homes for their loved ones who can no longer live alone. Whether it’s memory care, mobility support, hospice, or simply a safer environment, we guide families to the right fit.
3. How does placement work?
We’ve simplified the process:
1. Fill out our 45-second form or call us.
2. We review your loved one’s care needs, preferences, and budget.
3. Our team vets licensed homes and ensures they’re qualified.
4. We arrange tours (in-person or virtual).
5. You choose the right fit — and we help with move-in coordination.
Every placement includes direct access to local, on-call physicians for everyday concerns — giving families peace of mind without extra cost.
4. Why choose residential care homes instead of large facilities?
Residential care homes are smaller, more personal settings with 3–10 residents, not 100+. They feel like real homes, not institutions. Families choose them because they provide:
- Regular one-on-one attention
- A homelike environment
- Better caregiver-to-resident ratios
- Comfort, dignity, and safety
- Love and compassion always
5. Do the homes include doctors?
Yes. Every placement includes on-call physicians who can be reached by phone or video, often avoiding unnecessary ER visits. Families can even join video calls with caregivers, residents, and physicians at the same time. This eliminates confusion when asking your loved one, "What did the doctor say?"
6. Are the homes licensed and safe?
Absolutely. Every home in our network is licensed, regulated, and vetted to meet state standards for safety and quality of care.
7. How much does senior placement cost for families?
Our placement services are 100% free to families. You will never pay us to find a home.
8. Do your physicians accept Medicare?
Our placement services are free, and physician access is included in every placement.
However, please note that our physicians no longer accept Medicare Advantage plans. Families with Medicare Advantage may need to pay cash or use alternative coverage for physician services beyond what’s included in placement.
The good news: most everyday concerns are already handled through our included physician support — saving time, reducing ER visits, and giving families peace of mind.
9. How fast is the placement process?
Very fast. Many families are matched with homes the same day they reach out.
10. Where are the homes located?
We focus exclusively on the West Valley of Phoenix, serving families in:
- Glendale
- Peoria
- Surprise
- Sun City & Sun City West
- Goodyear
- Buckeye
- Avondale
- El Mirage
- Tolleson
- Wickenburg
- Litchfield Park
With over 500 licensed residential care homes across these cities, we make it easy to find a safe, trusted option close to where your family lives.
11. What if I live out of state?
No problem. Many families we serve live far away. With our physician-supported model, you can even video in with caregivers, your loved one, and a physician together — so you’ll never feel out of the loop.
